Switch platforms without losing what already ranks.
We migrate WordPress and Webflow sites to Astro with every ranking URL mapped, redirected and checked in Search Console before and after launch. You get a faster site and keep the traffic you already earned.
Fixed-scope project · URL inventory and redirect map before any code · Search Console checks at launch, day 30 and day 60.
How do you migrate a website without losing SEO?
You migrate a website without losing SEO by treating every URL that earns traffic as something to move, not something to rebuild from scratch. Before we write any code, we export every indexed URL from Search Console and your sitemap, rank them by clicks and backlinks, and map each one to its new address. Pages that can keep their URL keep it. Pages that move get a 301 redirect, the permanent signal that tells Google where a page went. Titles, meta descriptions, headings, structured data and internal links are carried over and compared page by page against the old site. On launch day we submit the new sitemap, test every redirect and watch Search Console for 404 errors and lost queries, then check again at day 30 and day 60. The result is a faster Astro site that starts from the rankings you already have, not from zero.
WordPress to Astro migration
WordPress slows down as plugins pile up, and every plugin nobody updates is a security risk. We move your pages, posts and media to Astro, keep the URLs that rank and give your team an editor for the content that changes. Club Fase II went from one unfinished WordPress page to a full Astro site in three weeks, and its hosting bill went to zero.
Webflow to Astro migration
Webflow is quick to start and expensive to grow: the bill rises with every extra seat and with traffic past the plan's bandwidth, and the code stays on their platform. We export your CMS collections, rebuild the design as Astro components you own and redirect every URL whose structure changes. You keep the look and lose the lock-in.
What's included
URL inventory
Every indexed URL from Search Console, your sitemap and a full crawl, ranked by clicks, impressions and backlinks so the pages that earn money are protected first.
Redirect map
A one-to-one 301 map for every URL that changes, tested against the full list before launch so no redirect chains, loops or dead ends ship.
Content and metadata parity
Titles, meta descriptions, headings, image alt text, structured data and internal links carried over and compared page by page against the old site.
Astro rebuild
Your design rebuilt as Astro components you own, with an editor your team can use for the content that changes often.
Ready for AI search
The new site ships with llms.txt (the summary AI assistants read), schema and crawler access configured, so ChatGPT and Perplexity can read it from day one.
Launch and follow-up
Sitemap submitted, every redirect tested live, and Search Console reviewed at launch, day 30 and day 60 against the pre-migration baseline.
How we work
Baseline
We record where the current site stands in Search Console and list every URL worth protecting.
Redirect map
Every URL gets a destination, and the map is tested before a single page is built.
Build with parity
We rebuild in Astro and check content, metadata and links page by page against the old site.
Launch
Redirects go live, the sitemap is submitted and every URL from the inventory is tested on the new site.
Follow-up
Search Console checks at day 30 and day 60. Anything that dropped gets fixed, not explained.
Tools and platforms
Google Search Console
The baseline before the move and the proof after it: indexed pages, queries, clicks and 404 errors.
Semrush Site Audit
A full crawl of the old and new site to catch broken links, redirect chains and missing metadata.
Redirect simulator
Every redirect rule tested against the full URL list before deploy, so each old URL lands in exactly one hop.
Astro
Static-first pages that load fast and ship almost no JavaScript, the stack this site runs on.
W2B audit engine
Our scored audit for schema, crawl access and AI readiness, run before and after the migration.
Vercel
Edge hosting with preview links, so you review the new site on a real URL before it replaces the old one.
Frequently asked questions
-
Will I lose rankings if I migrate to Astro?
Not if the URLs that rank are moved instead of rebuilt. Rankings drop after a migration when pages change address without a 301 redirect, or lose their titles, headings and internal links. We map and test every one of those before launch, then check Search Console at day 30 and day 60. A short dip while Google recrawls is normal; a lasting drop means something was missed, and we fix it.
-
How long does a WordPress to Astro migration take?
It depends on the number of pages and templates. A small business site can move in about three weeks, which is what Club Fase II took. A site with hundreds of posts or a large Webflow CMS takes longer. You get a written timeline once the URL inventory is done, because that is when the real size of the project is known.
-
Can my team still edit the site after leaving WordPress or Webflow?
Yes. We set up an editor for the content that changes often, such as the blog, team or case studies, so nobody needs to touch code to publish. Design changes go through us or your developers, which is also what keeps the site fast.
-
What happens to my blog posts and images?
They move with the site. Posts keep their URLs when possible and get a 301 redirect when the structure changes. Images are exported, compressed to modern formats and keep their alt text, so they keep showing up in image search.
-
Is Astro better than WordPress for SEO?
Astro does not rank a site by itself, but it removes the problems that hurt WordPress sites most often: heavy pages, slow loading and plugins that break markup. Astro pages are static HTML with almost no JavaScript, so Google and AI assistants read them easily. The content and the links still decide rankings.
-
How much does a website migration cost?
Each migration is quoted as a fixed-scope project after the URL inventory, because cost depends on the number of pages, templates and integrations. You see the inventory and the redirect map before you sign, so you know exactly what is being protected.
